So here is a break down of the ranks for the packs. I'll try and keep these short to give you the basic idea of what the ranks are.
You cannot post any higher ranks in your character form, because we hold auditions for those in the announcements board.
Higher ranks
Alpha- The alpha is in charge of the whole pack and tells the beta when to let patrols out and he/she makes important decisions concerning their pack and the others (making peace with another pack for a while to get rid of a more serious threat, declaring a turf war, ect.)
Beta- The beta is in charge of organizing wolves into hunting patrols and carries out orders from the alpha.
Adviser- The adviser makes suggestions or comments on things that the alpha does or says. He/she also supports the alpha when times are rough.
Healer- The healer uses herbs and other things to heal injured or sick pack members.
Healer apprentice- The healer apprentice is dedicated to learning from the healer about herbs and methods of healing different ailments.
The commoners
Hunter- Hunters receive orders from the beta and know where to hunt for prey from the scouts. They are in charge of keeping the pack fed. Hunters must be stealthy and strong.
Scouts- Scouts check the pack territory for large prey groups and for enemies and report back to the pack what they have found. Scouts must be fast and have stamina.
Guardians- These canines specialize in combat instead of hunting so they are called upon first when an enemy is attacking. They also patrol the territory regularly and hunt a little. They must be strong and have a lot of stamina.
Spies- These canines sneak into enemy territory when the alpha gives the the order. They can also... eliminate a certain enemy if need be. They must be very stealthy.
Caretakers- These are females that either are pregnant, nursing, or have been assigned here because they can't be anywhere else and they help take care of the pups.
Pups- These are pups that are to young to be considered a juvenile so they stay with the caretakers. They become juveniles when they are about half a year old.
Juveniles- Juveniles are pups that are old enough to start learning how things work in the pack. They can be chosen by an older wolf to be mentored, or they can choose to figure things out them selves. They can promote to a higher rank whenever their mentor sees fit or if the alpha promotes them.
Elders These are canines that have become to old to hunt or fight any more.
The lowly
Omegas These are the canines that have attempted to betray the pack or are completely untrustworthy, but they decide to stay with the pack.
