Ally had been walking around for what seemed like hours, she had been walking in a nice field of flowers then it quickly changed to dusty streets and old, vacant human shops. It was still beautiful so she had continued on her way, there were faint scents of other dogs, her nose twitched and she got some dust in her nose. She ran her paws over her face and blew out through her nose trying to get the dust out; when she did she was happy. She had to remind herself not to put her face too close to the ground, as she continued to make it around the street corners, she noticed little piles of sand. She moved behind the piles trying to see if anything was there, and there was. A little field mouse that seemed to be lost, securing around trying to remember where it had came from. She came closer to it but it noticed her and ran away from her. "Hey, don’t run away. I won’t hurt you." She told the little mouse, but it didn’t speak her language. She was right behind it, trying to keep up with it but it didn’t want to slow down anytime soon. Come back here. She was getting a little frustrated with the little mouse but kept going after it. It had finally stopped and she got a smile, laughing a bit. Then the little mouse jumped into a small hole in a pile of boxes as soon as she got close to it. "Oh come on. I wasn’t even gonna hurt you, I was going to bring you back to the field." She grumbled looking down the hole and looked up. Now she was lost, well sort of she would just smell her path back but she was only trying to help the little guy but then she was frighten by a voice that came out. "What was that?" She mumbled to herself and hid behind the pile of boxes.

Flynn smelled the dry air of the town. He had been searching for food since prey was becoming increasingly harder to find. The only thing he smelled though were stale dog scents and that ghostly scent of the humans that use to live on the island. It had been a long time since they had left, but he knew that their scent would always linger over the town.
He looked around for a little bit. the shadows of the buildings stretching over the street. He wondered for a bit if there was some strange beast hiding in their depths. He shook his head and brused the thought aside, That would be silly. He grunted slightly as he looked back over towards another street.
A sound echoed off the buildings, usually Kaell would stay indoors during the day because of the heat. Of course some dog could be out hunting like himself. So he started walking towards the sound, making sure to be as stealthy as possible. He slinked over to the side of a building and noticed a dog, about the same size as him, chasing something. He chuckeld when he finally realized that the fae was chasing a mouse. She mumbled something down the hole it had escaped through. He debated whether or not he wanted to speak with anyone, but eventually decided he had nothign better to do. "Mice aren't enough to fill your belly anyway." He walked out smoothly. The fae was startled, he didn't recognize her, she was most likely a loner.

Ally raised her head slowly, she didn't want to start any additional problems by making the male think she was ready to fight. Now that would be a problem, she wasn't at all the fighting type, yet she wasn't one to run away whimpering when she was provoked or insulted harshly. "Yeah I know, I'm just bored is all." She let out a short little laugh, 'come to think of it, I am pretty hungry.' Thinking that, she took a short glance past the dog to the rolled over trash can. I was half empty, with crumbled up wrappers on the side of the upside down trash can lid. Letting her thoughts of hunger go away, she got up and shook off her dirty, long brown pelt. A cloud of dust almost formed around her as she finished. "The name's Ally." She finally said, "What's your's stranger?" She wagged her tail and stepped forward to do the customary muzzle sniff.

Malik was starting to get hungry when suddenly he heard noises about a block from were he was. He though it was some squirrels, or something, but he kept hearing noises from over there. “Might as well see what it is.” He mumbled himself. “I've got nothing else to loose” He though.
As he got closer with his limping he started to hear a conversation of what seemed to be two other dogs greeting each other. He thought he might as well join in.
He slowly walked out of the shadows hoping one of the dogs would notice him. He didn't intend to startle either one, nor be startled. “Hey does anyone know were an ol' pup can get a snack or something 'round here?” He asked trying to hold down his stomach a bit. “I'm sure we're all decently famished."

Flynn perked his ears up when the female noticed him and started walkign closer, he raised his tail up as he became even more agitated by her presence. He didn't know her, she wasn't of his pack, so when she sniffed his muzzle he couldn't help but growl a little at her. He took a step or two back and grunted again, "I don't take kindly to strangers, watch how close you get to me." He knew he came off as a bit grumpy, but really he wasn't about to let anyone that close to him, "My name is Flynn." He nodded slightly as he finished.
He growled again when another dog came from behind them. At first he had been in a mood to make small conversation with the one loner, but he hadn't expected the old dog to come from behind like that. The old dog's scent was strong, it made him sneeze when he sniffed the air. He stepped back again and glared at the obviously older dog, he didn't want to pick a fight yet, but his words only made Flynn even more angry. "You don't belong to Kaell, why don't you go search for something yourself." The words rolled out of his maw in a growl. Don't loose your temper. He chided himself as he tried to cool off the rage that was beginning to burn in him. "Elder," He began again with a calmer tone, "I'm not responsible to feed you."
Flynn's muscles tensed as he realized they could have planned an ambush on him, and he had walked right into it. He made sure to position himself in a good spot to run, and he could see the both of the from the conrers of his eyes. They wouldn't get him if he had anything to say about it.

Although Ally hadn't already burnt the dog into her memory, she didn't think twice before stopping the old sniffer. "Flynn, that's a nice name. My brother's name was Flynn, but he was killed a while ago." She did a little sigh, low enough for no one to hear. "And Sorry about sniffing you so close." Her head was beginning to lower, but then suddenly jerked up quickly and turned to the direction of the noise of pawsteps, her tail froze in place as she noticed another male slipping forth from the darkened part of the small alley. Ally cocked her head as she noticed the dog was limping, she frowned as Flynn spoke, walked towards the old male, "That's no way to treat an elder Mr. Flynn." With that she trotted over to the boxes and ruffled through them, she quickly found that mouse again and grabbed its tail, walking back to the old dog, she dropped the mouse and put her paw over it. "Here you go sir." A tiny splash was heard as she accidentally stepped in a little rain puddle, she shook off her back paw and sat down.

Malik was about to inform this "Flynn" that he simply meant hunting with them. He was going to hunt to, but then the little one caught a mouse for him. " Thanks. I'll see what I can get to give back." He said sort of looking for something edible. He found a trash can an said, "Lets see what's in that trash can over there. That it, if no one minds eating trash?" He started walking toward the can.

Flynn grimaced as Ally scolded him for being so harsh to the older dog. He didn't care though, she had no idea what it was like to be in a pack. He wasn't surprised that she gave the elder the mouse she had been chasing. She was one of those 'hopeful' types that always saw the best in others and in every situation. He was sort of loyal like her, only in a different sense, he was loyal to his pack, she was loyal to her principles even though it might get her killed one day. He tried not to find humor in her behavior, and instead continued to look in disgust.
"That makes sense, you two are loners and don't know what's it's like to hunt for a pack. He stood his ground firmly. He was even more surprised when the older dog just simply walked over to the trash can and asked if they should search it for food, "Any food in there probably isn't edible." Was that really what loner dogs did? Rummage through the filthy trash? Maybe it was just that dog because of his missing leg he wasn't able to hunt as effectively. True Flynn had searched for human food before, but that was through the cabinets that they had inside their dens, and those were pretty much plucked clean.
"Haven't either of yo ever tried hunting for food in the wilderness? it's more dangerous for me because of my pack scent." He glanced towards Ally then back over to the elder. He had always thought that loner dogs hunted in the wilderness more but stayed in the city when ever they weren't. After all it was becoming increasingly hard to hunt in the city, although he could see plants poking up through the cracks in the streets, and that would eventually lead to deer or other wildlife being attracted into the city.
((sorry that was part rambling))

Ally nodded as the elder thanked her for grabbing a quick snack for him, she turned to Flynn who had began speaking against them for her action. "I beg your pardon, we are loners for a reason, we didn't choose to be this way. We had a history ourselves you know!" She suddenly barked, she stepped back a little, surprised at her own, unusually big mouth. Looking over to the old dog, she saw him walking over to the almost empty trash can, mentioning looking for more scraps in there, she trotted over to join him in his search for food. "Sure, no harm in tryin'." She exhaled, trying to cool her temper down, she went and sat down in front of the tipped over metal can and started scavenging. After about a minute of digging in the trash, she caught the scent of a hamburger. "Ah, here's something. Hopefully it'll fill us up just a bit." Ally sniffed through the mess of paper and wrappers until she found the source of the hamburger smell. She grabbed it, it was rather large, and to her surprise, it was quite fresh! Her stomach grumbled a such a juicy looking piece of meat, wrapped in two slices of bread. She wondered who would have thrown out such a prize, and set it down in front of all of the three of them. She glanced over at the grumpy Flynn and sighed, "You probably ain't so hungry for food from the, trash uh?" She smirked at him, knowing he was probably wanting it badly. She turned to the elder, "Here's your fair share sir." She smiled, putting her paw on half of it then ripping the other half of it, she dropped it in front of him and looked back down at the half under her paw and back up at Flynn. Ally raised an eyebrow, "Well?"

Malik was some what happy to find some company, even thoguh half of it wasn't used to loners and what not. When Ally gave him some of the burger she found he walked back to the mouse and put it in with the pile. "That's atleast some good to us." He said looking over to Flyyn. "You can come over and have somethiing. We ain't ganna bit." He saide starting to eat his portion of the hamburger.

Flynn's eyes narrowed as Ally lectured him about how it had been hard for them as well. He didn't care, they did choose to be loners, wandering the city instead of joining with a pack. It could actually be the other way around though, they could have been forced to be loners and he could have been focred to be a pack dog. He and his sister had been forced into Hawk's pack, maybe he couldn't be a loner and that was why he had joined the Kaell pack.
His thoughts were interrupted when he heard them over by the rubbage bin. His eyes darted back over to where they had gone off to. The elder rimaging through the trash and Ally excited over some miserable scrap of a hamburger. He had to admit he was surprised there was anything in there, but it was still filthy. His ears perked up again when he heard her ask her question.
Well? Well what? Did she really expect him to get down and rumage through the trash with them? He wasn't their friend, he barely knew them, and he had some sense of pride still left in him. Flynn tried to surpress his anger again, the only emotion that still plagued him. Turning his head towards a street he looked down it for a while then tried to think of a calm response, "No, I won't search through the trash." That might have come off snobby but he wasn't one to care what they thought at this point.
Instead he lowered his head to the ground again and began sniffing for any fresh scents. His sneezed once from the dust, then tried to work out the fresh scents from the stale ones. Ally's and the Elder's scents were recent but he ignored them. He walked a little down another street still sniffing for any sign of prey. Finally he caught on to what smelled like a hare that had gone past in the last few hours. He'd find where it was hiding in no time now. Flynn did feel slightly obliged to ask if they wanted to join him, "If you want some real food then follow me." He looked back down again and shuffled slowly down the dusty street.
((yes, flynn is mr. grumpy.))

Ally rolled her eyes and smiled at Flynn's cocky reply, she sniffed and then ate her half, her neck pelt shivered as she felt the warm, and wonderful sensation of burger juice run down her throat. Hadn't being fed in days, the feeling of food slipping into her empty stomach was enchanting. She got up and stretched herself out, still watching as Flynn started to walk away, about to head home herself, she was going to say goodbye to her new elderly acquaintance and, well... New found, frenemy. But her ears immediately pricked as he mentioned more food, "Heck yeah, lets go lets do this." Ally urged, getting pumped up, she would would do anything for food.
