site-wide plot?

because i have to say this everytime i make an out-of-character thread:

so anyway, i was just sitting here looking over the board since i'm pretty much done with my classes for the next two hours and i was thinking there's not...really a lot going on around here these days. i will admit that i've fallen quite inactive and i apologize for it, but it seems that the entire forum is starting to suffer a bit. i'm well aware that it's the holiday season and that we all have our personal lives to attend, but i can't help but wonder what it will take to make the site active again.

sure, there are some people still roleplaying, but the majority of us are lurking around, me included. so what's it gonna take for this place to get fired up again?

the only thing that i can really think of is a site-wide plot. i'm well aware of the Prey Contest thread that Miha has started up for us (that i really, REALLY need to post in. x3) but it doesn't seem like it's drawing too much attention. what i did notice is that Blue's thread got EVERYONE excited. activity seemed to shoot up with that making of that thread and i think i speak for everyone when i say that we can't wait until Blue returns and post on it.

but that's just it. i don't think that we should rely on that one, single thread to keep this place going. one, that's unrealistic and two, as we've seen, things tend to get crowded and confusing when EVERYONE's posting in the same thread non-stop.

my solution? why not make a site-wide plot that everyone can get involved in? like, it doesn't have to be fixed to a single thread, but perhaps it can start in one thread and then branch out to others?

what do you guys think? not necessarily about my little idea there, but i'm interested in knowing what ideas YOU guys have to bring a little life back to the site. i think it's safe to say that Miha is doing just about as much as she can to raise the activity levels, but perhaps there's something that you as members would like to see happening, both in and out of character?

Well I know Blue had a sort of mini-plot idea about some dogs/wolves trying to take over all the packs~

I had this idea about maybe a group of humans coming back to the island, taking some dogs/wolves to test, and then bringing them back or something like that. I have yet to figure out what they're testing for/why they are testing them/etc. Basically all the little details that tie the plot together x3

mhm, i know. the essentials of that plot have been talked over and worked out. i think there was one thing holding it back from being put into action; i'm not sure if it's been resolved yet, though. and anyone, i wouldn't want to go through with his plot with him not being here. x33

i think if you can make that idea not turn the general wolf vs dog thing into a wolf vs dog vs human thing, that could be a possibility. you'd definitely have to figure out the vitals and whatnot, first and then run it by Miha.

One idea I was thinking of, maybe Blue already was doing this, but seeing his post where the Alpha of the Bloodlily's is horribly sick, maybe this could be some mysterious disease that starts spreading throughout the packs, weakening them and causing general chaos.

i actually like that idea. a lot. and it kind of correlates with an idea of mine that was about getting more of the wolves/dogs into packs because, as the pack statistics show, we have far too many loners running around. if illness strikes the canines, that's bound to bring more attention to the packs, right?

I would imagine, canines outside could easily die if they get sick, but in a pack others could take care of you and help you, especially in the case of packs having designated healers and such.

Kadzait... that's a wonderful idea! And yes, we do have quite a lot of loners running around. The loners would probably get sick and would turn to the packs for support.

Lol, I am fail x3 my muse for plots has been dwindling for quite a while. Luckily before Ren left we managed to talk about some plots that may occur later on. For example the humans thing that ashes mentioned was... actually one of them ;>n> lol!

Anyways I like that idea with the sickness because there definitely are to many loners running around. Of course the character boards need to be cleaned up which will be happening soon hopefully -_-'

But I digress, a sickness going around would be very interesting, despite the fact that we don't have any healers at the moment except Linara. I suppose my character Scarlet could help out since I think I originally intended her to be a healer of some sort.

Bleh did I make sense or did I just ramble?

but yeah, i agree that plot sounds like our best bet for now. and with the sickness going around, the loners *should* attempt to assimilate into pack-life in order to heighten their chances for survival. some of them are bound to want to help out and become healers, even if only temporarily so.

Okay I didn't want to make a whole new thread so I figured I would just add onto this one.
So me and Nia started to RP and she has a wolf (Tyco - bloodlily) and I have a dog (Dream - Alpha of Kaell) Well they havent torn each other to pieces and in the middle of our thread we had this idea. Brace yourselves, A Forbidden romance! D: So right now they are starting off as friends, blah blah blah and soon it gets to a point were there love is blossoming.

Now since both of them are supposed to hate each other AND Dream is the alpha of the Kaell's it adds a very unique twist to the site. I don't know what could happen but I think it would be interesting to play out and see what happens.

yeeessss. I've been hoping something like that would happen for a while now. it would definately add some excitment, and since jake hates wolves he might try to lead a group against dream.

and markus hates dogs so that would add some more tension because he's tyco's mentor/father figure sort of thing.

I think it would be extremely fun to play out!
Now of course there romance doesn't start right away. I think they should sneak around the boarders and stuff to see each other and they get caught by someone, (Jake perhaps or markus since they would probably have the biggest effect on everything)
Definitely like a Romeo and Juliet kind of deal!
Now if anyone wants to see the thread its Fall in love or fall in hate Title was so coincidental since we came up with the idea later in the thread

okay what do you guys think of a rebel pack. Unlike the peaceful mix of Kalani, this pack will be rebels of both dogs and wolves who all they want is to keep the war going but have sworn not to attack each other.

Or maybe.. Two of the packs could break out in full out war, while the other is forced to decided which pack to fight with and they end up splitting apart.? :> I lick the sickness one <3I could make a character for a healer I only role play one right now.
